🇮🇩Indonesia Visa

For Turkish travelers on an ordinary (burgundy) passport, Indonesia runs on visa-on-arrival: no advance paperwork, no consulate visit. You land, pick up a 30-day visa at the airport, pay the fee on the spot, and you're on your way to Bali.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa for Indonesia, or can I enter visa-free?

On an ordinary (burgundy) passport it isn't strictly visa-free, you get the visa at the border. A 30-day tourist visa is issued at the airport, with no consulate appointment beforehand. Holders of green and grey passports enter fully visa-free, service and special passports for 30 days, and diplomatic passports for up to 90 days.

How does visa-on-arrival actually work?

At your arrival airport you stop by the 'Visa on Arrival' counter before passport control, and they issue the 30-day visa right there. Keep a valid passport and a return ticket handy. Check the current fee and conditions on the official immigration site (imigrasi.go.id) before you fly, since the rules get updated from time to time.

Can I extend the 30 days?

The visa-on-arrival is valid for 30 days and can be extended once inside the country for another 30. Start the extension at a local immigration office before your stay runs out, and confirm the requirements on imigrasi.go.id to be safe.

Which passports get into Indonesia visa-free?

Green (special) and grey (service) passports enter visa-free for up to 30 days, and black (diplomatic) passports for up to 90 days. The burgundy passport is the exception, it falls under the visa-on-arrival system.
