Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a visa for Georgia?
No. Turkish citizens holding an ordinary (burgundy) passport enter Georgia visa-free and may stay up to a full year, 365 days. A passport isn't even strictly required, a valid national ID card works too.
Which document do I need to enter?
Either a valid passport or the new chip-enabled ID card, both are accepted at the border. The only requirement is that the document is still valid; nothing else is asked for.
What about green, grey and black passports?
Same deal. Special (green), service (grey) and diplomatic (black) passport holders also enter Georgia visa-free and can stay up to 365 days. The passport color makes no difference here.
How long can I stay without a visa?
Up to 365 days per entry, which is more than generous for a tourist. If your plan is long-term residence or work, though, you'll need to sort your status out with the local authorities separately. For the current details, check Georgia's official consular site at geoconsul.gov.ge.
