Frequently Asked Questions
How exactly does the 90/180 rule work?
On any given day, the total days you have spent in the Schengen area within the preceding 180-day window may not exceed 90. The window rolls forward each day; moving between countries does not reset it, as the 90 days are shared across all of Schengen.
Do arrival and departure days count?
Yes. Both the day of entry and the day of exit count as days spent in the area.
I hold a special (green) Turkish passport — should I still track this?
Special, service and diplomatic passports enter Schengen visa-free, but the 90/180 rule still applies; this tool works the same for them.
